B.C. jobs minister comes to Langley to talk employment programs

B.C.’s jobs minister is coming to the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce next week, to speak to members and guests at the monthly dinner meeting.

Brenda Bailey, the Minister of Jobs, Economic Development, and Innovation (JEDI) will be the speaker at the Tuesday, June 20 meeting, which runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Coast Langley City Hotel.

Bailey was appointed to the role last December, and she’s expected to talk about the provincial NDP government’s growth strategies, and specifically the Future Ready Plan, a $480 million training and workforce development program.
