Celebrating Youth Week – Success Story #3

May 7, 2021

WorkBC Langley & Maple Ridge is proud to present Hope. She exemplifies the term “Success Story”!

Hope is 24 and recently graduated from Trinity Western University (2020) with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics. As a student, Hope actively volunteered in her community and with her church, both locally and internationally. She also successfully completed her practicum with LifeMark Physiotherapy. With her education and volunteer experience, Hope was well prepared to enter the world of work.

“Hope connected with WorkBC on April 28, 2021, and started her job as a Kinesiologist with Innovative Fitness less than a week later!”

Hope actively began her search for work and found an opportunity with Innovative Fitness in Walnut Grove. Innovative Fitness had previously connected with WorkBC Langley to explore the Wage Subsidy Program, and when they met Hope, they were ready to hire her!

Hope worked closely with her Employment Placement Specialist at WorkBC along with Innovative Fitness to quickly process and successfully complete the Wage Subsidy application, which will help cover a percentage of her wage for up to 24 weeks!

Hope connected with WorkBC on April 28, 2021 and started her job as a Kinesiologist with Innovative Fitness on May 3, 2021 – less than a week from her first visit!

Congratulations Hope, you have a terrific career ahead of you!
