Job climate called ‘optimistic’ for Burnaby workers

According to the latest ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey, Burnaby employers expect a cautiously optimistic hiring climate for the second quarter of 2020.

“Survey data reveals that 15% of employers plan to hire for the upcoming quarter, while 5% anticipate cutbacks,” stated Richard Plumb of Manpower’s Vancouver office. “Another 78% of employers plan to maintain their current staffing levels in the upcoming quarter. The remaining 2% are unsure of their hiring intentions.”
