Maple Ridge music industry receives provincial support

Maple Ridge musicians were on the receiving end of funding from the province to support the local music industry.

McKiller Music, a full-service music production company owned by local country musicians Tom and Lynda McKillip, received $30,000 for music industry initiatives, from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, which distributed more than $3.3 million to hundreds of artists and companies for career development, live music events, business development, industry initiatives, and attracting out-of-province talent to record in B.C.

Maple Ridge multidisciplinary artist Eva Pekarova, who is both a musician and composer, received $6,053 for career development.
